FOUR DEPART AHEAD OF 2027
Salford RLFC can confirm that Kieran Dixon, Fin Yates, Owen Haldenby and Danny Lynch will leave the club ahead of the 2027 season.
All four played their part in a 2026 campaign that saw us rewrite the record books, and we thank each of them for their commitment to the shirt and to the city.
Kieran Dixon leaves as our top goal kicker and top points scorer for 2026. He kicked 51 goals and scored 110 points in all competitions. His 13 goals in the 86-0 win at North Wales Crusaders on 31st May put him joint second on the club’s all-time list for goals in a single game. He also reached 100 points for Salford in just 13 appearances, the fifth-fastest in the club’s history.
Fin Yates finished the year with four tries, including a brace in that record-breaking afternoon in North Wales. He also scored against Halifax Panthers at home and Sheffield Eagles away.
Owen Haldenby scored twice in our 64-4 home win over North Wales Crusaders in July, a performance that capped a remarkable double over the Crusaders.
Danny Lynch got his name on the scoresheet in the 86-0 at North Wales. That was the biggest away winning margin in the club’s history, and a day that will live long in Salford memory.
We would also like to thank Salmon King, Satomi Nishikigoi and Towler Property Group Ltd for their support of Kieran, Owen and Fin throughout the season.
Everyone at Salford RLFC wishes Kieran, Fin, Owen and Danny the very best for the future.
