Salford RLFC sign Jake Bibby for the 2027 Season

Salford RLFC is delighted to confirm the return of Jake Bibby, who has signed a one-year contract with the club.

Jake started his professional career here. He came through our academy and made his first-team debut as an 18-year-old in 2015. Now he comes back as an experienced, versatile senior player who knows exactly what this club means.

Jake made 80 appearances for Salford between 2015 and 2019. His first spell ended on the biggest stage of all, the 2019 Grand Final at Old Trafford.

A Wigan local, he then moved to the Warriors. There he won the League Leaders’ Shield in 2020, scored in that year’s Grand Final and lifted the Challenge Cup at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in 2022.

After three seasons at Huddersfield Giants, Jake spent 2026 with Oldham in The Betfred Championship. He now returns to Salford able to cover centre, wing and back row, and ready to help this group keep rising.

Speaking after putting pen to paper, Jake said:

“…it was kind of surreal. Obviously, I never thought I would make as a player, but then obviously this is where I started off ”

Talking about being at 2 Grand Finals Bibby said : “I’ve gained a bit experience playing with some great players and I hopefully will bring that kind of knowledge to some of the younger lads here”.

Jake sat down with us to talk about coming home, the 2019 Grand Final run and what he wants to give the next generation. Watch the full interview on YouTube: https://youtu.be/4J0CP3MOiCk

Welcome home, Jake.

Rising. Together.
